My baby is being born in Australia I am from NZ can he have a NZ passport?

My partner and myself are both NZ citizens we are having a baby in perth I want to know can he be a NZ citizen and have a NZ passport.

If at least one of you is a full NZ citizen then yes, you can pass on NZ citizenship to your baby born in Australia. To be a full NZ citizen you either need to have been born in NZ or else received New Zealand citizenship by grant.
